MI Paste

mi paste

MI Paste is a topical crème that helps restore your tooth enamel, reducing tooth sensitivity and helping prevent cavities. Its active ingredient is Recaldent, a milk-derived protein that binds to the surfaces of your teeth, releasing ions that strengthen your tooth enamel.

Thanks to casein phosphopeptide (otherwise known as CPP), this active molecule releases the calcium and phosphate ions that fortify your teeth, strengthening and protecting your natural tooth enamel. No other professional product on the market contains Recaldent.

Advantages of MI Paste:

How do I use MI Paste?

MI Paste works best when it can remain on your teeth longer. Therefore, we recommend applying it before bed, after you brush your teeth.

Apply a small amount of the paste onto your finger and rub it over all of your teeth’s surfaces. Avoid applying it with your toothbrush because the paste will smear into the bristles instead of your teeth. For maximum effectiveness, refrain from eating, drinking, or rinsing for at least 30 minutes. MI Paste should be used daily to experience noticeable results.

What are the treatment applications of MI Paste?

In addition to being used as additional protection against tooth decay for patients of any age, MI Paste can be used for the following:

  • To relieve tooth sensitivity, especially before and after a professional dental cleaning or teeth whitening treatment.
  • To remineralize the small imperfections that occur naturally in our teeth over time.
  • To repair minor tooth enamel erosion.
  • To prevent tooth decay or the formation of white spot lesions on teeth.

Who should use MI Paste?

Patients of any age can use MI Paste—even young children. Exceptional Dentistry recommends the use of MI Paste on children younger than 2 years old, raising the levels of minerals in their mouths at the crucial age when their teeth are developing. Unlike many other treatment options in dentistry, MI Paste is completely safe for pregnant women or new mothers who are breastfeeding.

MI Paste should not be used by patients who have an allergy to milk protein or benzoate preservatives.
